Ive been estimating for 20 years. I took this course
with an attitude of not really needing to go through this.
To my surprise I found this course to be really beneficial.
Sometimes getting back to ones roots can really be
helpful. I would recommend this class for every estimator.
No matter how many years one has in the trenches. I hope
Ill be able to take more classes. My goal is to become a
certified estimator. |

I thought it was a good course. My purpose of taking
this course was to get an introduction to estimating in
order for me to take other classes through AACE. I got
just what I needed which was an exposure to the terms and
conditions surrounding estimating. |

The course was well worth taking. I been working in
construction for the last 5 years, watching our General
Contractor submit various proposed changes and what it
would cost to do the change. This course aid me in
understanding what and how he is doing it. Between
manpower, equipment, planning, etc., I can now have a
better understanding of their business and how they get to
the bottom line. The instructor was great. He placed all
of the elements in each lesson, went threw the lessons so
it could be understanded. Thank you |

estimates and this class really cleared some things up for

I have now taken several courses online and have found
they have met expectations presented. The material is
clearly presented and in logical sequence. If I have
questions, they are answered - even if I think they might
be a dumb question. But I was told the only dumb question
is the one that is not asked!! My only struggle this
semester was time and dealing with my father's very ill
health. Good course. |

Unit costs are something I will be using a lot in the
future in my job . The different types of estimates are
another item that I did not know before this course . That
was helpful , all around the course is going to help me in

the course to gain more knowledge with regard to building
my own homes. Even though unlike other students I may
never be employed in the construction industry, I found
that I could apply the estimating techniques to the
technical project management industry where I work. I

I will probably not likely use alot of the information
from the course in my profession. I am an accountant
working in cost segregation. I am very familiar with M
& S and Means, but I do not do estimates except for
costing takeoffs using M & S and Means. |
